Ripe Pinot character is evident on the nose whilst the palate is sensual and fairly full with a more solid backbone than many. In many ways this is classic French country Pinot without any hint of the astringency which can make the variety at best impenetrable and at worst unpleasant. The whole is supported by fine well-integrated oak from its fermentation and the result is surprisingly refined.
