Oat Milk
Organic oat milk and barista oat drinks from Oatly, Rude Health, Minor Figures and Kallo.
Barista editions are the ones to buy for coffee. Standard oat drink tends to split when it meets hot espresso — the acidity curdles it. Barista versions are formulated with a little more fat and an acidity regulator so they stay smooth and hold a microfoam for latte art.
Oats are naturally gluten free, but most are milled alongside wheat, so not every oat drink carries the label. The ones that do are made from separately milled oats.
Oat milk is vegan, contains no lactose and no nuts, which is why it's often the default in cafés — it covers the most common allergies at once.
