Rose Wine

Organic and alcohol-free rosé – a short, carefully picked selection rather than a full shelf. The range includes Spanish and South African organic rosé, 0% New Zealand rosé, and a Sicilian sparkling Frappato.

Rosé isn't red and white wine blended together – that's banned for most European wine. It's made from red grapes that are pressed and left in contact with their skins for a few hours rather than weeks. The colour leaches out, while most of the tannin doesn't, giving rosé a lighter, fresher character than a red made from the same grape.

Paler doesn't mean drier. Colour comes from skin-contact time; sweetness comes from residual sugar. The two are unrelated, despite Provence-style rosé making pale look sophisticated.
