Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

How to Make it

    • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside. 
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. 
    • Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. 
    • Stir in the tomato puree, and cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through. 
    • Add the fresh basil, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine. 
    • Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce. 
    • Serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
