Organic Alcohol

Organic wine, beer and spirits from The Wine People, v-collection and Stroud Brewery.

Red, white, rosé and Cava from Sicily, Spain, South Africa and New Zealand; organic ales; and organic single malt whisky.

Organic wine means grapes grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, and lower sulphite limits than conventional. Not none — fermentation makes sulphites naturally, so sulphite free wine is a specific claim rather than a given.

Organic beer means organic malt and hops. Organic spirits means organic grain or fruit — and since distillation strips almost everything out, the difference is about how it was farmed rather than how it tastes.
